I am also proud to announce that my Senate Democratic colleagues elected me assistant minority leader. I look forward to the leadership role in Augusta.
I will be working with our floor leader, Sen. Barry Hobbins, to create the session strategy for the 125th legislature, and to assure that the Senate Democrats have a successful session. As the minority party, we have a political disadvantage, but that will not stop us from fighting for Maine people and making sure that the 14 Democratic Senators are working together. I will also be working with the floor leader overseeing the Senate Democratic staff.
Finally, I will be representing the Senate Democrats at many public functions over the next two years. I look forward to this new leadership role in Augusta.
